Hi there readers and TF lovers! Morphonix here with some awesome news! A lot's been happening to me over the course of the last few years and it has done nothing short of a world of good for me. Essentially, I've gone through some major changes of my own, and dare I say a transformation of my own! Lately it's like I've been an entirely new person. Well, I've been brewing some new stories for awhile now and some pretty far in the process now. As a result of this, I'm going to eventually tie in a new identity of myself into the stories. Mephisto and I both had some pretty fun ideas of where to take the Progeny Labs and Tails sort of stories and I'm planning on writing a sort of continuation of this that leads up to the new identity's reveal! What this will entail is that all these stories will be posted to the new profile, as well as any future ones along with art.

I'm moving in a month, but when that's finished I'll be going at this full force. I hope you enjoy the ride along with me.

Okay so yeah, how do I put this...

The computer I was writing the story on is officially shot meaning I've lost the story I'd been working on and won't be able to finish until I get it back up to speed, which I'm hoping will be sooner as opposed to later.

Basically it froze on me one day about a month or two ago. Thought it was the mouse, then realized the keyboard was unresponsive and restarts failed to do anything at all. After switching out the video card and going by process of elimination on some other things, it's either the motherboard or the processor which, ultimately, is never a good thing.

I'll keep the page updated as I'm able.

Sorry guys, I keep feeling like I'm letting you all down.

2 journal entries in a month, no, 2 weeks? Must be a record, lol.

Anyways, I've started to take some notes down and work with some concepts and ideas, but right now even, I'm having plenty of trouble just keeping my eyes open!

Once I've got a little more meat coming onto the story, I'll drop a juicy sample, but don't expect it for about 2 weeks as I round out my semester.

Okay, so here's the lowdown on what's going on.

Truth is when I started on this whole TF business, especially with the material covered, I was young...really young, and much more so than I claimed and looking back on my previous works, I'm finding that it shows and much more than I like.

Truth, as well, is that I'm a semi-full time college student (couldn't find a fourth class to meet full-time requirements) also working 30 hours a week on the side. That said, there's enough stress on my plate that finding the time to get to everything, sit down, and come up with new and original material is not that easy.

Now, I do hope people are enjoying the first of my new experiments, because I for one am certainly enjoying not only putting out new material, but also playing with new manipulation effects.

That said, I do still really want to get a new story up. Mid-semester I had an epiphany of sorts and am likely changing to a writing major of sorts, so why not push my talents here?

So I sat down and re-read my first story, a collaboration with Dr. Mephisto to be a continuation of sorts to the first of his Outbreak series, basically a tie-in to it. I did so to try and rediscover the sort of magic that had been captured in that story to kind of bring myself back into the writing sort of mood. Needless to say I find it almost laughable in terms of characters, structure, writing style...it's all a mess and, as I said before, a testament to how young I was at the time when I wrote it. Now I also know that people have been clamoring for the Outbreak series to be worked on and/or ultimately finished but this looks almost impossible now that Mephisto is pretty much out of the picture and disappeared from the TF scene.

So what am I getting at? Well, simply put, I'm going to take the Welcome to Progeny Labs story and completely re-write it as a true part of the Outbreak series, completely re-write the character of Dr. Morphonix, and work towards a possible finish to the series, as I actually worked with Mephisto on brainstorming what would happen as the story progressed.

What I'm hoping is that ultimately this will not only be a much easier and less strenuous story to write than crafting something totally original, but that it will get the creative juices flowing to give me a push, so to speak, towards the completion of those other ideas.

I have recently determined that the whole TF genre is collapsing right under our feet.

How many times do you see new sites appearing? Once in a blue moon, perhaps. How often do you see old sites die off? Quite often. This is becoming a pattern and there isn't much being done about it.

I'm saying that it's time we as members of the TF community collaborate and make a stand against this by coming up with material as a group. As such, I have put together a group on DeviantArt for a revival effort and am calling on all TF artists to lend a hand.

Hit writer's block? Ask someone else to lend a hand. Not sure what to draw or manip next? Ask for some help. Having trouble making the fur look just right in an image? See if someone can point you in the right direction for a tutorial.

It's about us, and reviving this near-dead field of artistry.
